Has anyone ever bought a bare root rose online?

I want to get this for my daughter is it going to be a good idea?

I haven't used that company but roses are as tough as old boots. Buying them potted up is a relatively new thing. All roses and shrubs used to be sold barerooted over the winter.

I can't speak for that supplier, but I bought three bareroot roses from David Austin and they were fine. I agree, they are indeed as tough as old boots, so should be a reasonable prospect.

Appleduram roses have been around for many years, I used to drive by decades ago, so I assume as they are still in business they are doing it right

As Mojisola says, bare root was the norm until recently
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
