Free legal movie and cartoon downloads

only shame with the bittorrent site is that the films arn't very popular so downloads are slow - I have a sherlock holmes that should be down in 16 days !!!

The films are archive.org are good because they have mpeg4 versions that are a fraction of the mpeg2/avi versions size

if you are on the search page, click the title you want and then

on the left side select the format you want and click eg. 256K mpeg 4 or mpeg2 - on some browsers right click and select save file

This is an amazing find - thanks. I am having trouble downloading Night of the Living Dead . I've tried in Firefox and Explorer, and the only way I can get it is by streaming.

Anyone got a work-around?

Have you tried right-clicking on the link and downloading the file, for later viewing?

Great post and have actually used the internet archive before. On a similar theme if you are after downloadable books ie Dickens and Shakespeare, then I use this site

I transfer them onto my PDA for reading during t-breaks at work, this is a tad involved using free primopdf (converts web pages to pdf) and free Adobe reader for palm os (convert pdf into palm format), but gives great results for standard text.

I swear I have no allegiance to either programme other than being a satisfied user
