E7even refunds - any news??

Hi there

Have any previous E7even customers who registered their refund request details at https://www.dslrefundrequest.com received any money / heard anything ?

Perhaps I am being overly cynical , but I have a sneaky feeling that only those people who subsequently signed up with ezee dsl will be responding positively to this question.

Hope I am wrong

I haven't got anything yet and don't think I will. I signed with Ezee but only paid one month then stopped.
  • A call to any other indignant former E7even customers out there who like me don't want to let this lie!

Is there anything we can do to chase this up and get our mitts on our lost £s!

    Ideas/suggestions gratefully received...

You won't get anything from E7 themselves - they're long gone.

If you paid by credit card then making a claim against your card issuer under section 75 of the consumer credit act should work (I got £250 back from Morgan Stanley) but involves a bit of hassle & form filling.

If you didn't pay by credit card then it's one to put down to experience - though I'd love to be proved wrong.

    Good luck!

definitely get your money back via your credit/debit card. https://www.adslguide.org.uk message board for e7even has full of info on how to claim your money back, even a standard letter is done for you!!!
  • Did you pay by credit card? I am in the process of claiming through Cahoot.
Yeh formfilling, but worth it for the £180 odd that I am owed!

I'm still waiting 8 months later. Cahoot have been rubbish as far as this is concerned... Is there any way to complain about them to get my money back. I'm beginning to think I won't see the £180 again even though I should be covered under the CCA.

Durain, I finally got my refund via my credit card company (Cahoot) today. It has taken a year! It eventually took me writing to the financial obudsman service (and telling that to Cahoot) for them to pay me back. Funny how it had taken 8 months up to that point and suddenly they were able to resolve the issue in 2 working days.

I never heard from E7 again.

    All the best.

Under Section 75 your credit card company is not just responsible for refunding your lost money.

They also must "take over" the remainder of your original contract.

So claim for any extra costs incurred in replacing E7even with another broadband supplier - it would have been impossible to get another contract at the same rates E7even charged.
