Great present for parents, grandparents etc

I was having a nose on a site when I came across these - now the price I saw was £15 but I can find them cheaper (like under £10) with a google :)

That is the Dad version but there are grandma, mum, sister etc...

All those questions that you and future generations might want answered and preserved for generations to come.

I thought they'd be a gorgeous present to Little Miss's grand parents and a stockingfiller for her daddy :)

I know you can make your own version with a jar and questions for those who feel thus inclined but I thought this was a good alternative to those not crafty :)

Thank you!! I have never seen these before and am totally getting them for my parents - there are impossible to buy for and I would really like to know this sort of stuff for when I can no longer ask.

Cheapest I can find is on ebay - Dad one is £9.50 new and the mum one £8.75

I really like the idea of these, thanks OP. Could anyone give a few examples of some of the questions within as I'm debating whether to get one for my dear nanna - she's 93 and unfortunately suffers from alzheimers meaning her memories can be very sporadic. I'm wondering if I catch her on a good day, she might be able to answer some of the questions for me to write down for her. TIA

I got my parents these last year - my mother begrudgingly filled hers in and my dad refused.

Hope everyone else has more luck, it makes me very sad that my daughter won't know these things because her grandparents couldn't take a couple of hours to share their knowledge and experiences with her.

  • I bought one a while ago for my mum, she loved it. I also bought one for grandad but he passed away before it was completed and I am gutted. He loved it though and I will treasure the bits that aare filled in. I posted it on another thread as a suggestion to someone else a while ago.

Think Amazon are cheaper though, worth checking

My son bought me something similar - more like 'family tree' but with plenty of space to write in about schools, hobbies, friends, and so on.
Then last year my friend bought me ''Sweet Memories'' -A Woman's Journal. I've been filling that in bit by bit but the only problem I've found with them is there's no allowance made for second marriages. They all seem to work on the assumption that everyone has the one spouse and thats that.
Still there's enough room to elaborate on it. I love it and wish I'd given something like that to Mum and Dad before they died. There's so much I'd love to have known.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
