Whenever I go to AT I stay at this B&B The Laurels

I first picked it at random but its very nice. Clean nice sized rooms with ensuite. The food in their restaurant is very nice and a resonable price. Breakfast is good. A fryup and there is ceral and fruit juics to help yourself to.

You will have to drive to the towers because it is not close enough to walk in.

    Trough Ivy House
is the closest and it says you can walk in so you dont have to pay for cark parking in the towers but I have not stayed there and I dont know anyone that has.

Alton towers this is a list of places near by that you can stay at.

Have a look at http://www.ukattraction.com/heart-of-england/map/alton-towers.htm and click on "click to enlarge". You'll see a couple of inexpensive B&Bs close to the park, marked on the map.

Hope this helps - enjoy your visit! :)

  • Hello -

My son and I stayed at Cross Farm (it's in the list of accommodation on the Alton Towers site). It's a lovely B&B about 4 miles away from the theme park. We had a huge family room, even though there was only two of us. Very nice room - double bed, single bed, sofa bed and ensuite shower room.

The room cost £48 and the breakfast was lovely.

    Would highly recommend this one!

    Good luck

Have stayed at the Travelodge in Uttoxeter before, thats about 15 mins drive away.

Last time we stayed at the HI Express in Stoke, £53 for a family room (2 adults and 2 kids) with breakfast. Going back there again during half term. Its about 30-45 mins away from Alton Towers.
