online sources for 2nd hand baby/childrens stuff?

Hi

Apart from ebay & Amazon marketplace does anyone know of any other online 2nd hand sources for baby stuff? I am looking for a cheap sleeping bag for a 18 month old plus which I can butcher to make suitable for use in the car seat...a grobag "multi function" one is £27!!!!!

Thanks:wave:

I bought a lovely 'as new' Grobag off Ebay for £4 which included p&p which was an excellent bargain. However they seem to go at highish prices and I had to put lots of bids in until I got one at a price I wanted to pay.
I'm not sure how you want to use your adapted sleeping bag with your car seat (i.e. in the car or maybe travel system) but one thing my Health Visitor warned me against was putting babies in snowsuits/baby nests in a car set as they can overheat very quickly, particularly if you have the car heating on. Just a thought.

I have used kids closet a few times. A lot of it is designer and then good high street names and some things are unworn. You can't just buy it like on ebay, you have to order it via email, order form or ring them but it's very straightforward.

Have you tried NCT sales. I know that they are not online but my one has lots of grobags.

Thanks everyone, so far no luck though:cry: I need one for next week as we are out several evenings & Spud is waking up lots when getting him out of the car now that it is getting colder, so not got time to faff about too much unfortuantely. Have been looking for one for ages but have only just found out they are no longer called travel grobags but now called multi function grobabgs so was searching under the wrong item! Can't seem to win one on ebay despite keeping trying, they go for silly prices for 2nd hand IMHO.

Super41, thanks for the word of warning, however I used one of these travel sleeping bags last winter, they have holes to accomodate seat belt etc, in the car & it was fantastic, no overheating problems at all (obviously using common sense re heating as at home) & I can't believe they would be allowed to sell them if this was a possability.

I know in the past someonone on here gave a link to a fab 2nd hand baby stuff forum, especially good for washable nappies, but I can't find it?

When I looked for a new one for my ever growing daughter i found all the 2nd hand ones on ebay were going for silly amounts, at least 10-15 inc postage for some not very exciting ones. I popped into TKMaxx that afternoon just on the offchance and got myself a lovely pink mamas and papas sleeping bag for £9. Was a very happy bunny indeed.
hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried

Sorry didn't mean to sound alarmist, just pointing out something which was said to me and I'm sure things are fine if you're sensible. Just remembered my sister bought me a baby sleeping bag from Tchibo a few weeks ago, I think it was about £8.

Another website I use https://www.hitched.co.uk has a baby forum and sometimes people sell things through there or https://www.btforsale.co.uk

Have also used https://www.babygurgles.co.uk for grobags, although new not second hand but good prices and https://www.smiles-by-post.co.uk

Sorry if I sounded snappy Super, I know you meant it in good faith & I appreciate your concerns, was just trying to say that experience tells me all will be well but I think I came across wrong.:o

Anyway, a certain amount of sucess, found a new one buy it now on ebay at a reasonable £10 so have gone with that in teh hope it will arrive in time & will just have to butcher it myself with scissors & bias tape to make usable in the car. Serves me right for not being more organized!

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone:T
