Hi Everyone
OH is trying to plan a night out in Birmingham next month for his stag, though this wont involve dressing up it will probably involve plenty of booze!!!
Its been years since I went out in Birmingham and OH has never been so between we haven't really got a clue.
Does anybody have any info on the best kind of places for him to go out at night on the lash and any cheap accommodation. ive been looking at the travelodge, premier inn and holiday but theres so many i dont really know where to start.
Thanks

The highlight comedy club would be good.

If you sign up with your email address you can get 8 tickets for £25. I think the normal price is £14. I went a couple of months back and most people are in groups. Of course they picked on the Stag party that was in, so it would be good for a giggle. You buy buckets of bottle of beer etc. It would be perfect really to keep them occupied - it turns into a club with a dancefloor after the show or they can jsut head off somewhere else.
The Etap is very cheap - about £35 a night but there is a deal on another page with the Daily Express where it can be as cheap as £5 a night. Rooms are basic but clean and sleep 3.
There are several hotels along Broad Street (the centre of all the saturday night mayhem), but it might be worth looking at the hotels along the Hagley Road which is a very short bus ride or even a walk away from Broad Street. Lots of them are on lastminute.com.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

p-pincher.
there are a few things you can do and a few different places.
the main areas to go out are the Theatre district, around the hippodrome. there are a few places to go out arund there, including jongleurs i think (maybe glee club). staying round there is the IBIS which is very cheap and well placed for a weekend.
its also the chinese quarter, so plenty of oritenal food to choose from (i would reccomend cafe soya and their chilli pepper quid fried rice!)
the other main area for going out is Broad street, which is basically going to end up in a pub crawl! its the busiest part of the city of an evening, and there are loads of places to eat (and more to drink!))
staying there should be cheap too, there is a jurys inn amongst a few others.
if your looking for other places to stay then the hagley road has loads of places to stay.
couple of tips:
http://www.birminghamplus.com/ - birmingham restaurant food reviews
use google maps street view of some main roads to get a feel of whats there. I use it to get telephone numbers of places too
theatre district is also the gay area, if you want to embarrass and humiliate, this might be a good option for a stag, as there are a few places to get some choice items of clothing...:)0
