Egg Cash back 0.1% or 1%

Martin says in this week's tip:
Egg's previously competitive cashback is now negligible; it pays a disgustingly tiny 0.1%. Anybody using Egg for cashback should ditch their cards immediately...
I thought I was still getting 1% cashback on purchases. Has it changed and have I therefore missed any notification?

Is he referring to the Egg Card?0

I agree, the current cashback arrangements through Egg are paltry. I have now stopped using the Egg card and moved to another card with a reasonable cashback.0

Ah, I should have double checked. He does state having reread it that he's referring to the older card, Egg Card, not Egg Money.0

Egg Money has 1% cashback.
Egg Card has 0% (ZERO) cashback. It started at 1% fell to 0.1% and has been 0% for about a year I think.0 -

I thought it was fairly straightforward. It's commonly known as the Egg Card (the rubbish one) and Egg Money (or the Egg Money card if you like) for the one that pays 1%. But as the OP later says, perhaps a re-read of the text a little more thoroughly helps to sort out the question. It's the story of many people..."I didn't read it properly/at all...etc."
The second post about it being much clearer is also indicative of the world we live in - sorry, no offence intended here - the fact that it can never be the consumer's fault, always the provider for not making things clear enough. For Heavens sake, what do people want? There's being clear, and there's being patronising to the majority of us who read things properly and who accept, if they make a mistake and get it wrong, that they should've read it thoroughly in the first place. There, soapbox moment over.0 -

Simply with the addition of one word "Card".
Otherwise the statements "Frankly you simply shouldn't use Egg anymore" & "Egg is pants" are referring to Egg as a whole.
"Frankly you simply shouldn't use Egg Card anymore" & "Egg Card is pants" would be much clearer.0 -
Straying off topic...Otherwise the statements "Frankly you simply shouldn't use Egg anymore" & "Egg is pants" are referring to Egg as a whole.
Back on-topic:"Frankly you simply shouldn't use Egg Card anymore" & "Egg Card is pants" would be much clearer.
"Frankly you simply shouldn't use an Egg Card anymore" & "Egg Cards are pants"
It's something that the brain does if you're not looking for it. For example, unless you know about it/seen it before, it's very difficult to see what's wrong with the following:PARIS
IN THE
THE SPRINGConjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
yeah, we all know you go to Paris in the summer and it's Rome in the spring!
right?
