Flights to NZ - When is best to book

Hi All,

I'm new to the forums, so please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong place.

Myself and my partner are looking to travel back to Nz in June or July 2011.

We have done some research and currently only Emerites has a flight special for this time currently, so this begs me to ask the question, is there normal times at which airlines have specials for certain time periods ?

The other carriers like Air Nz, Qantas, Etihad, Cathay pacific, Royal brunei and air Korea seem to only have specials prior to this period.

Can anyone give me some insight into have these specials work.
