Hotel Room for a Saturday Night out in Birmingham

There is a chance of 3 (possibly 4) girls going on a night out in Birmingham City Centre on a Saturday early December. Although we live in Dudley / Surrounding areas we thought it may be cheaper and easier to get a hotel room in Birmingham.
Can anyone please recommend anywhere? We'd like as cheap as possible but obviously being 4 girls we'd like to be quite safe too.
Looking for personal recommendations or horror stories!
Thanks

We stayed at the Premier Inn - there are a couple just off Broad Street. Basic but clean. Room only but there are Weatherspoons very close where you can have a cheap breakfast. Also includes free parking.0

Blimey! Just checked Premier Inn out and it's much more expensive than when we went - must be cos it's December. I'm sure we paid under £50 for the two of us and it was either Friday or Saturday night.0

Wetherspoons Briar Rose, just been refurbished when we went0
