Out in 90 mins time...
Anyone care for a punt? Can we really have a 4th straight month of falls for the Rightmove index? I'm not convinced. Going for a slight bounce back of + 0.5% (though I think the trend is down for the coming months).
As a slight aside, the data they are releasing is for "October". But it is October the 18th. Seems a bit odd. Unless the take everything from the date of the last survey to yesterday or something. But it can't be the October movement as October isn't done?
Anyway. Any body else care to play? I'm tempted to almost start a running competition on this. Something like 5 points for exact, 3 points for +-0.1 either side and 1 point for +-0.2 either side. Could then keep a running total for RICS/LR/NAT/HAL/RM. Is this of any interest, or should I just get out more?

If there's one thing I've learnt from doing stuff online it's: automation, automation, automation.
Setting anything up manually becomes a waste of time as it's just too much hard work to keep it up ... and people whine far too much, too loudly and too often. They're ungrateful and unwashed.

You should get out more.:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Precisely.
Its a good measure of how many complete nutters are about out there who get hooked on the media talking the market up when there isn't one. Just a load of gullible buyers & a few bargains. Not Again0 -

Absolute Genius.
The capacity of the Great British homeowning public to resist any notion of a house price crash never fails to amaze me.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
