Turbo lister-I want lots of listings with same info?

I am starting to list my sons toys ready for xmas and want to put the same info in the description builder with regards to my terms and conditions etc, BUT, I want to still add to the description with what the item is as I will have 50 or so items that are different, but want the same terms.

I have created inserts, but want to duplicate 50 listings with the same inserts automatically, rather than having to click the insert bit everytime! I know you can duplicate listings, but they will be the same then, and you can't change specifics etc.

Please hope someone can tell me, cos I'm sure you must be able to do it.

Do a new 'template' rather than a new listing and then for each listing just work from that template.

How do I create template and save it? I've just found create template and selected it, from the 'new' button then just put in my terms in description builder, and because I haven't put any other info in, I can't save it??
  • you do one listing how u want them all
then at the end it will give u an option to save it to ur templates.

My apologies but I really dont understand?

I only want a few paragraphs in the description that is the same for all listings. eg, if I was listing, say some lego, a game, a teddy and a book, they will all have different titles, postage, and descriptions etc....but I want to put a bit of info the same on all my listings.

When the main TL set up page thing is displayed, I have 'File, Edit, View, Tools, Help at the top left, then Inventory, Waiting to Upload, Listing Activity and Activity Log down the left hand side. Within Inventory, if I click the small arrow along this bar, it then shows Templates, All items, My items, and then a folder I have created for my current listings.

If I click New from the top, it does give me an option to create a new template, and I've been clicking this, and tried to put a small amount of info in my description, and I can't save it using the 'save' option at the bottom right as it then asks me for a title, but if I put a title in it would probably then work downwards and ask me for category, then auction style etc.....

    Does this make sense?

As I understand it you do one complete listing, including all the things you want on every future listing and save that listing as a template. Then you use that template, changing what needs to be changed such as title, category, leaving what you need to stay the same. If you have several Lego items use that as the template, then you don't necessarily have to change category. I personally do a word document of any permanent info, have that open when I'm listing, and copy and paste as necessary, but then I don't always use turbolister.
