What does this mean: Flight ops via LGW

I guess it is something to do with London Gatwick, I know the flight is from Manchester to Kenya, but what does the OPS mean. I am guessing it has something to do with London, but when I am searching for a holiday online from Manchester, it says this about the flight - even though it departs from Manchester and it doesn't say you have to transfer or anything. Thanks

Im guessing it could be a flight from Manchester - London Gatwick - Kenya.
You should check the airline's website that you have found the flight from. Once on the airlines website take a look at their route map to see if this is the case.0 -
Sounds like it does a pick up at Gatwick so you wouldn't leave the plane."It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice." :T0

OPS means 'operates' via Gatwick.
As it doesn't mention the transfer, you might find that you just sit on the plane for an hour while the new passengers get on.Marching On Together
I've upped my standards...so up yours!0 -
means the plane will stop at gatwick to pick up passengers. you stay on the plane and should be on the ground for no more than 1 hour'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
