Hi can anyone advise - took out loan and sent letters re: Martins advice. Did not get any joy and referred it to the Financial People it has taken them nearly three years to investigate and received a letter 2 weeks ago to say they do not up hold my claim. Have been told i have 1 week to appeal against their decision - not sure what to do now. Basically said that i could have declined the PPi at the time i took the loan but i was not told this, it was taken out so that my relative could have a bypass operation! Please help feel like screaming!!!

Hi there
So sorry to hear this, after 3 long years as well.
I would try to give any further information you have and it will be passed on to the ombudsman himself for further review.
I believe there have been a few cases not upheld recently by the FOS.
I note you said you received the letter 2 weeks ago, do you mean it was one week from there, or one week left from here, in order to appeal? The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there, sorry to hear this, what were your reasons for mis sell?0
-
Sorry took so long to reply wasnt sure where my message would appear. It was one week from last Wednesday and that was only because I sent an urgent email as the Advisor was not answering his phone. Not sure what to send as have already sent everything at the beginning. Going to send letter recorded delivery at least that way he can not say he received it.0

Do they have evidence that this was sold in the correct way to you, and that everything was explained about this product?0 -

Can you prove that you were told it was not optional?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
