Hire car- not 'full to empty' tank options in Majorca

Hello,
I'm going to Majorca in a few weeks' time, and I want to hire a car. Every company I've looked at so far seem to have the clause in their contract that you pick up the car with a full tank, and return it empty.
I don't plan on driving that far- Majorca isn't a huge island after all, and it seems unlikely I'd use up an entire tank in 5 days.
Does anyone know of any hire car companies that don't have the 'full tank to empty tank' clause?
Thanks

Majorca is very mountainous so it's quite easy to get through a tank if you're heading out to see it. Perhaps you don't need a car if you don't think you'll use a tank in five days?0

I am currently in Mallorca, and my usual car hire changed their full to full option 18 months ago, so I am now using HASSO car rental, FULL to Full, you pay for a tank and then get refunded if you return tank full.
I have a nice Fiat 500, it is immaculate.
You can reserve on the web but do not have to pay for until you get here. There is a shuttle bus to their premises, to collect the car, and when finished you can either drop off the car at the airport or their office and get the shuttle bus to the airport.

In May 2009 I was given a diesel car, I was here for 5 days, but the car could do nearly 800-1000km on a tankfull. With the best will in the world even on 7 days that would be a struggle on a small island.
The mountains are on the western side, and there is a route all the way along it, but the rest of the island is fairly flat, and with the motorways quick to get around.0 -
I hired with 'Record' car hire in 2007 and they didn't have this charge. Just bring it back full.0

These were the people who I used to be with, but they changed their fuel policy Jan 2009, it is full to empty on hire 4 days or more
and their price went up as the date approached for the hire
EG quote sat/sun 7 days before arrival 70EUR 5 days before arrival quote was 90EUR
Needless to say now using Hasso.

Alicante, Malaga and Majorca:
In order to offer the best service possible at Alicante, Malaga, and Mallorca Airport, the vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel with the following options:
- For rentals with a duration of 4 or more rental days, the customer will pay in advance for a full tank of fuel and will have to return the vehicle as empty as possible. Please, be aware that unused fuel will not be refunded.
- For rentals with a duration of less than 4 days, the following options would apply:- Full-Half: Customer will pay for half a tank of fuel and the vehicle will have to be returned half.
- Full-Empty: Customer will pay for a full tank of fuel and it will have to be returned as empty as possible.
- Full-Full: Customer will have to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.

I've never been asked to go full-empty with the major brands (Hertz, Avis etc.)0

Thanks to everyone who replied.
I found a website offering discounts on Hertz cars, so I'm happy with that. :beer:0
