Fancy Dress

Somewhat reluctantly going to a fancy dress do with the theme of heroes and villains. I haven't got much enthusiasm for this but want to show willing - has anyone got any ideas?

One (controversial) costume I have got is a Tunisian dress - black with lacey bits and I wondered about adding a veil, Muslim style, then it's up to them whether I'm a hero or villain.

If it's black and lacy you could go as a vampire...unless you know everyone at the party it might be a bit awkward, and a bit offensive too!

Perhaps if it was a bit more Mata Hari than anything else it would be more acceptable?.

You could go very 'mumsy' - Mums are heroes (although my sons think I'm a villain!) :rotfl:

Or, can you get some purple and orange crepe paper and add mock ups of the 'heroes' sweet papers? Cadbury heroes, that is. Or even buy a tub, eat them, and put the sweet wrappers on. Or just pin the sweets on, although that doesn't sound as much fun ...

The organist at my church told me yesterday how he'd recently seen Darth Vader walking down the street outside his house with a perfectly normal-looking wife and kids :rotfl: :rotfl:
