Hi,
I am going to Disney on ice at Manchester MEN on Saturday.:j I was wondering how much the parking was at the MEN on show days and if it might be cheaper parking the car at the Trafford centre (free) and getting the bus straight through to the city centre. I am taking my 2 children with me. So that would be fares for 1 ADULT I 15YR OLD and a 10 yr old.
I am a bit skint and therefore want to work out my money before we go. I would appreciate any replies from anybody that knows Manchester well.
Thanks in advance

I used the multi story car park right next door to arena last December to watch Depeche Mode. I parked mid afternoon and left around 11pm. I think we paid around £8 you pay going out and they have machines. You get to the arena straight from the car park so you wont get wet if it rains0

The former Boddington's factory site is across the road from the MEN, £3 during the day, if you want to go shopping and you then don't get charged for staying till midnight any extra or £6 if you park just before the event.0

The arena carpark is a nightmare to get off, plus it costs a fortune.
Like Barny1979 said the boddingtons carpark over the road, we paid £6 much easier to get off than the multistory at the men.0 -
Thanks everyone, looks like the boddington carpark will be the best option then. Will I know which one it is straight away as I dont know manchester except when I get to the MEN arena will it be obvious which carpark it is? Is it the one on the lefthand side almost opposite the entrance to the MEN carpark?0

Hi
Yes that is the one, driving up, it's on your left, it's cheper than the arena car park.0 -
Also when you leave try to head away even if it means a bit of a detour...getting away from the arena can be horrendous and often they put road restrictions in place so you're forced into a one-way route. Another alternative is to park a bit further out of Manchester and get train into Victoria - that station is within the arena complex so no outdoors stuff, no car park fee, no driving congestion0

Thanks guys for your help. I parked in Boddingtons car park for £3.00 for the whole day. Unbelievably cheap for city centre parking. We had a great day and I have promised to take them back nearer christmas for a special shopping trip.

Yes MEN arena is a night mare when a event closed they open both entrances to get out. But I find it useful especially when I pop into shops first drop shopping have some sandwiches in car then go to the event0

Whatever you decide make sure you park on a car park with security as car crime in that area is very high!!Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls
1st Baby due June 2016 :happylove0
