Orchid V4 and V4+ alternative?

I've been using an Orchid V4 for many years now and a friend of mine has seen how good it is and wants one. I noticed that Orchid don't seem to do them anymore and I can't seem to find any on ebay.

Is anyone aware of an alternative to the Orchid V4 or the V4+ that is available nowadays?

Due to the lack of responses I assume there are no other alternatives?

In which case what are people doing now, just using a single provider for all calls?

    Check ebay NOW.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Ok, now I am more confused.

If people are now selling their Orchid's what are they using as replacements or are people not bothered about saving money anymore?

Occasionally, someone considers the number of calls they make does not justify the hassle of programming.

There is no replacement (that know of).

Orchid V4s which appear on Ebay sell very well - and used with the Kevin Lawry spreadsheet, they're a real money-saver for families.

Android DECT phones seem to be starting to appear. So I guess it may then be possible to use one of the Android dialler apps to set up your own rules.
