Cheaper to book flights via trael agent?

I'm trying to book a flight to Nairobi Kenya for sometime in December. Dates are quite flexible, but ideally 6th-31st.

Tried KLM, Virgin and BA and they are slightly over our budget.

Was on KLM website last night and flights were £427 each inc taxes. We were prepared to pay this so went into the bank today to deposit some cash into our account, and lo and behold the same tickets are now £550+:mad:

Anyone know if I might be able to get a cheaper deal through travel agents?

Quick look on Kayak shows KLM on those dates at £435 per person from London via Amsterdam.

Turkish have the same dates at £484 via Istanbul.

try clearing your cookies

happened with me once, i searched with easyjet for flight prices, twice one day, later on that evening when i was going to book them, they had gone up in price.

someone gave me the above advice and it worked, crafty little things those cookies, following your surfing habbits.

Kayak £435, just had a look and it looks good.
I'm just about to clear my cookies and run cc cleaner; then try KLM again
