Just sold my car and the buyer gave me cash euros, I have since discovered that the bank doesnt give you the exchange rate if you pay it into your account and want to take a huge chunk of it !! HSBC Personal Euro account was recommended to me but they have told me that they will only accept electronic transfers not cash.
Does anyone have any advice ?

Have a look at this tool (using the 'BuyBack' tab) :-

...... but worth travelling if you live nearish one of the agencies. Otherwise you have to register / post the cash .......... which I would be reluctant to do.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Thanks for the link, I'm in manchester so may have to contemplate a trip to London.0

Might just be worth it .... depending on how many you have. Use 'trainline.com' or similar for the ticket!
I exchanged close to €1000 just last week ...... and could have done a lot better on some of the buyback rates, than I achieved locally (neither the PO nor my Bank would touch them as I hadn't purchased there)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
