    Hi,

According to the BBC Weather website the local weather in Rome is between 7 - 15c in March.

I went in late January and it was freezing! If your going to go to Rome then I recommend you go during the Summer months.

Ryanair has no flights from 5th March to Rome from Glasgow, however KLM Royal Dutch have flights departing on 5th March and coming back on the 7th March for £151 each (via a short stopover in Amsterdam). If you went on the KML website you could book the flights with a stopover of a night or 2 in Amsterdam for probley the same price if you wanted to? (If this sounds a good option look for the multicity option on the website)

Also, the 5th - 7th March is a weekend. From my experience flights are most likely to be more expensive on a weekend. Travelling between Monday - Thursday is most likely to be alot less expensive.

    See www.kayak.com for flights

I use Ryanair fairly regularly from either PIK or EDI to Rome but the PIK flights stop now for the winter. If you can take the Thursday off work as well (maybe even a half day) you can get there for under £84 each return at the moment from EDI.
