Best time to look for next August flights to US

As title says really - when is traditionally best time to start thinking about booking these for early next August?

Will be from London to Chicago or Indianapolis if that is relevant

Usually 11 months ahead IMO,but you have missed the first release altho prices might still be the same now.

Or wait till jan sale, but there is no real way of knowing when they will be the cheapest.

I can tell you that prices next year for the US are a lot lot higher than they have been this year

Hmm - thought it was me but as you say - prices seem rather high even for August. Best deals in Jan sale via Expedia or similar online agent, or direct with airlines do you think?

we got bargains for easter this year but next year is nearly double the price, however american airlines have some good deals at the moment and they have just added BA flights to their website which for a family of 4 are £100 cheaper than the same flights on BA.
