Does anyone know how I can upgrade my classic account to a Vantage account online. I have gone into upgrade but only selects the prem. Gold, and silver accounts.

Thanks,

When I upgraded my acounts I did it by phone banking - the website wouldn't let me upgrade online.

It was easy over the phone, and the change happened overnight so the upgrade was functioning the next day.

You can upgrade to vanatge online - click on 'apply online' then click current account left of main screen, then scroll down and there is an option to add vantage to account.

I wish I read sscott5581 before going into a branch today. After waiting about 5 mins this very bossy woman came up to me and wanted to know what I wanted. She then ushered me into a side room and starting going through my various accounts. She then went through my direct debits and savings accounts and kept trying for me to see one of her colleagues to see if they could offer better deals.

In the end I had to be abrupt and insist she upgraded the classic account to the vantage account.

Another interesting thing I enquired what my credit score was for this month and was advised it was 3 and the range is from 1-9.

When I said it was usually 2 her reply was the bank do not like me having all these vantage accounts with £7,000 in each and this was why my score had increased.
  • Your score has not increased it has decreased! The lower the better as far as their credit score is.

How did you know what your usual score was?

What a load of rubbish, obviously the first thing that came to mind. The Lloydscredit score ususally bobbles around a bit from month to month, 1,2 and 3 are the best ones, you're fine. At the moment, banks love savers!

I now relise that banks are staffed by sales people. I have learnt a lesson from going into a branch and hopefully I will never have to visit a branch again. After all I can do the majority of banking online and have telephone access. If I need to compare saving rates I can easily go on a comparison site.
