Sainsbury's today card problem?

Not sure if this is the right place - but did anyone have a problem with credit/debit cards today? How did you get over it?

    Lots of shoppers did - it affected Sainsburys and Waitrose. Cashpoints at stores were working and this was the suggested fix for those without Mastercard.

    just been on the news something about Barclaycard going down this afternoon and causing havoc across the country - thats all i caught as wasnt really paying much attention

    Yes it affected us too at Asda and at Trafford Centre.
    Finally managed to use ours at Morrisons tonight about twenty minutes ago.

    Wasnt just Sainsburys then? The queues were so bad when i went in late afternoon that I dumped my bag of rice and legged it.......nightmare!
