Renewing existing Travel Insurance

Hey

I am looking for a travel insurance for me and my wife for 1 year. We left London traveling 18.09.2009 and the annual back packers policy expired couple of days ago and our company (1 stop travel insurance), told us that they cannot renew for the next year. We are currently in Malaysia and planning to stay in these region for another year.
I'd be grateful for suggesting solutions, and ideas.

Note that the cover from World Nomads does not include cancellation cover if you are not in your country of residence when the insurance begins.

I would also suggest visiting a local travel agent (or even a bank) and seeing what is available. Malaysia has a very sophisticated financial and insurance industry: in several ways they are ahead of the UK.
