cheap holiday for single parents?????

anyone got any advice/help. where to take my kids away for half term? thats nice and cheap and won.t cost the earth?

a holiday abroad is too daunting as i hate flying and don't like to be so far away from home. not much money as i am saving for my mortgage deposit.

always seem to be working and we haven't been away for a break for ages. kids are 10 and 3! so would need activities to keep them both occupied.

thanks

not sure whether they are available for this oct half term, but the sun holidays are worth a try.
i've been on 4 now, various sites around wales and the west, and i find them really good value for money.
might be worth bearing in mind for next year
  • If you live in a Sure Start area then why not think about camping?? I know it isnt exactly the weather, but its cheap.

Most Sure Start groups have camping equipment you can hire out for free (well ours does here). I have a friend who has just taken herself, OH and 3 kids (ages 3 - 11) to Blackpool Haven site, cost £26 for 3 days and all the passes to rides were included.

They all had a fantastic time and really have recommended it.
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

I agree- caravan holidays are great- no added expense eating out and if you go to a bigger park there will be enough to keep them occupied, for all age groups.

They will be running down and closing in the next few weeks, though, so get your skates on!
