Thumbs up to HSBC for being the pioneer on giving notice and informing their customers when does their promotional period ends.
Not that I would be a loyal customer but a big help to all HSBC customers who aren't organise and forgetful.;)

I got one of these letters too this week, said my promotional rate is up in november, but that makes it 11 months not 9, very confused!!0

Yes, same here. Not only that, but I sent a secure message asking if they could offer a lower rate than the 15.9% I'm expecting after the special offer period ends, and I've had one back saying that my APR is "a very competitive 13.9%" and they cannot lower it, unfortunately. So it turns out it's already lower than I thought! Needless to say I'm keeping both of these somewhere safe...DFW stats:

A bit off topic, I know, but some lenders don't even do that. All you get is the "Estimated interest next month ... " message.
The Marks & Spencer card, issued by HSBC of course, informs customers. Bank of Scotland shows the introductory end date on every single monthly statement. I can't recall any others.
Best practice, IMO, is to ask customer services for the expiry date, when you phone up to activate the card. There's often a Freefone number provided for this.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Co-op Bank statements include a message about 2 months before the 0% period ends, You always get the 6/7 months plus the period up to the next payment due date.Ethical moneysaver0

On checking my recent statements, I'm reminded that...
Mint
LTSB
Capital One
..all notified me of the 0% end date on the penultimate statement.0 -

That is unless you receive two letters in two weeks stating 26/10/06 on one and 20/11/06 on the other !!!!0
