Where to go at Xmas for winter sun

I'm asking for advice for the best place to go for some winter sun, ideally to sun bathe and warm enough for kids to play in pool.

Tenerife all they way for sun this time of year, not to much of a long flight either x

We went to Gran Canaria for Xmas and New year, had a couple of days of showers, but was still warm enough for shorts t shirts, rest of the days lovely, pool was a bit cold, but my teenage daughter, and older Son and girl friend still went in. We are going again for New Year

Egypt is only 5 hours flight and the standard of hotels is very good. In Sharm you will be able to snorkel from the beach and see all sorts of marine life. It will be warm enough to sun bathe but cool in the evening. Most hotels are all inclusive and prices are quite reasonable although will be more at that time of year
