How to stop PPI

Hi all
I have a MBNA credit card, and every month about £15 is added for PPI. The problem I have is trying to get it stopped/cancelled. I have logged onto MBNA where I can view my account. I have sent several emails to MBNA asking me stop my PPI. The reply I had was I must call this number. I have tried calling this number many times and no one answers. I have wrote MBNA a letter saying I wish PPI to be cancelled and that I wish to have the last 3 months worth of PPI refunded. I had no reply from this letter. Looked at my account again and PPI as still been added to my account.
Can any one please help in how I go about cancelling this. I will not be calling them again as I do not have a BT land line and the number they give costs a furtune to call.
Many thanks

Hi there
How frustrating this must be for you.
I know its a nuisance, but maybe you should write to the Director/Manager, or what they call Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to let them know what is happening here, and then of course send the customer service a copy of that actual letter, let them know you only want to deal with this in writing and have taken the correct procedures in requesting to cancel but your requests have been ignored.
I would also ask if they could refund you what you have paid of ppi since you have first requested to cancel.

The above email is to the CEO, or you could write to him by hard copy.
If this still not resolved say in about 14 days, then make a complaint to the Financial ombudsman service and then let the above know what you have done.
Hope this helps, good luck, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
