Hi All,
I have around £18000 on cc and od and want to reduce the monthly outgoing on these debts, whilst guaranteeing to pay them off.
I have a good credit history (having been subject to id fraud a few years ago i keep a close eye on it) and want to take a loan out for the £18000 over (preferably) 10 years.
I am going through a marriage break up and will get a reasonable sum of money when the finances are sorted so should be able to pay this £18k and my other loan off (or at east a large chunk of them).
I have looked at Tesco etc and all the options seem to be for £14999 over a max of 5 years without taking out a homeowner type loan (which i do not want to do and would not go down well in the divorce as I do not live in the house i pay the mortgage on!)
Does anyone know who will lend over £15 k on a term longer than 5 years (preferably on a reasonable rate!!) ? I think some lenders do but appear not to accept 'consolidation' as the reason for the loan.... any ideas/recommendations?
Many thanks

Some banks will lend over 7 years but not many will lend that amount unsecured any longer.
You also state 'other loan' - this will be held against you too unless you have a massive salary.0 -

I have no idea about their criteria (probably very good rating), but Barclays has loans up to £25k, and 6 to 10 years terms when above £10k - google Barclays Personal LoansEnjoy the silence...0
