Yep - that's a dual car policy. And it's the best there is.
I have 6 years no claims

Cars are worth about £4k and 50p respectively
And yes - some ****** wrote of my car (about £2K) about 2 1/2 years ago and drove off in his truck and denied being involved - so I'm stitched with that one. But even so...
£1774 quid..... !!!!. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
It's not just the accident either - I put in a mates postcode to see what difference it makes....and my - oh - my does it. If I live in a little village rather than greater London then my premium reduces by......wait for it........a stunning 60%!!!!!! A drop of over £1000!!! A Grand!!!!!! 1 Thousand smakeroonies - beer tokens - Childrens inheritance - i mean
A GRAND!!!!!!!!!
I mean, how???????
Is London really more than double as costly - per head - to insure a car than a field in Sussex? I mean - there are more people in London, so therefore more accidents, but per capita - is the accident rate really so much higher?
If you think about it - strip out the accident bit - and what are you left with - a multiplyer of probably 3* for just having a postcode in a not posh, not poor, really boring suburb of London.
I'm not poor, we both work and earn decent money but this is too rich for my taste. way too rich.
Sorry - I am in pain here, anguish, anger and tides of other emotions too complex and unmanly for me to understand - including the overriding urge to cry. ahem...
Any ideas? What is going on? Any comparisons.?

Generically speaking, absolutely.Is London really more than double as costly - per head - to insure a car than a field in Sussex?
Have you seen the standard of driving in London compared to the country? I cringe every time I go back down there to drive (and I am a Londoner originally).I mean - there are more people in London, so therefore more accidents, but per capita - is the accident rate really so much higher?
The value of your car is only part of it. If you hit and kill someone in a £50,000 car or a £500 car, your car cost is irrelevant. Its the millions of pounds in compensation that matter.
The premiums are risk based and reflect claims in that area and you as a risk (age, sex etc).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You must be worth a lot more down south.
We currently have 5 different vehicles including my daughter at 17, my wife and myself on various cars and a motorhome, with varying ncd, for less than £1400 a year.0 -
I pay less for my insurance than you. And I earn more money than you. And my children sleep all night. And I'm better looking than you.
