Purchasing a car - Whose Name ??

We are in the process of purchasing a car on 60mth finance with Black Horse. We are part exchanging my car and the new finance will be in my husbands name (as I am now a mother/housewife), to keep things such as insurance simple we wanted the new car to be registered in my name as we will be sharing the car 50/50 and I have built up a good no claims bonus.

So the question is, is it possible for my husband to finance the car and have it registered in my name ?

TIA

yes you can, or you can just have you still as the policy holder but the registered keeper is your husband
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

And it doesn't matter who is the registered keeper when you insure it. Otherwise fleet cars would have real problems.

Just name yourself as the main driver and your husband as a named driver.
  • Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks
