LX Direct are useless!!!!

After several c0ck-ups with my recent orders I've decided not to bother ordering from them again. I was a new customer too and their CS doesn't leave a very good impression :mad:

I placed my first order with them last week, taking advantage of the "new customer" discount I found on this forum (thank you!) and paid with my Visa card (no request for a credit account). I then received a letter 3 days later saying that at this point they would not consider opening an account for me????? I hadn't requested an account to be opened!!!

I called them to query it and the lady offered to put my order through again and said they must have made a mistake. She also said the code I had used was no longer valid but offered me the £12.95 off code and free P&P which was better than the one I'd used originally! Order had been £24.99 but I paid £12.04 :D

Following receipt of that order, I then tried to place a second order online using one of the other more general codes that have been published on here but this time it wouldn't accept my Visa card details saying they were invalid!!!

I called them yet again to put my order thru over the phone and was told I couldn't use another discount code as they only allowed one code per account (this wasn't a new customer code though) and also the code I had been given on my first order was only valid for orders over £30 so I needed to order something else to use it :eek: By this time I was getting fed-up so placed my second order at full-price as I didn't want to lose the discount from my first order.

I checked my bank statement the day after and found that they had actually honoured the discount and refunded it to me. I then received another letter today saying my order had been cancelled as there was no payment on my account. I DON'T HAVE A BLEEDING ACCOUNT!!!!!

I've just called them up to complain about their shoddy service and I got the impression they couldn't care less. I won't be ordering again, which is a shame as their products are often cheaper than the main Littlewoods catalogue (of which I'm a long-standing customer) and I'm disgusted at their lies and incompetance :mad:

Anyone else had these sort of problems with them?

  • I explained that I'm only home on a Friday, so all delivery's and pick up's can only happen on this day. Friday I waited in all day for a parcel to be picked up, no one came. Yesterday they arrived to pick up the parcel!!!
    I phoned and explained , Lady said no probs they will sort it out and they will call Friday.

    Then again, yesterday afternoon they tried to deliver a cross trainer I ordered, as no one was home, they rang my 14 year old daughter and asked if they could redeliver to no 11 or 15.

    My daughter (who sometimes live on another planet), said yes.......

    Big problem here, we don't know the neighbours and they are now going to have a b****big parcel stuck in their house all day till I get home and weve never met!!! This is just one of a few probs Iv'e had with them.

    On some orders they charge £2.90 x 2 or 3 times if the order is delivered seperately. Damn cheek. After this I 'm not going to be a customer either.

    P.S Hope the neighbours are nice!!
