where has my thread gone?

It seems to have vanished, I still hadn't managed to go through all of the responses as can only really access MSE at work away from my husband.

Does anyone know what happened

    Do you know why?

I'm just worried my husband may have somehow got on and requested it.

I needed the advice and things are still bad.:(

  • I don't know why, you could try contacting abuse, or Glad, in case it was her who did it. I can't remember all the detail from the first post, but if you've used a word like b***h or said something which isn't deemed suitable for the site, the BG will delete the first post, which will mean the whole thread is deleted. It could be as simple as that.

ETA, I wasn't on after about 3 yesterday but some of the posters had been having a go at one another I'm sure, that might have caused the deletion if it had gotten out of hand. You might be as well to start over again without mentioning that specific incident, and ask for advice on the whole situation at home. x

it does rather depend which thread you are referring to?

    This one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2324709 ?

Thank you RAS but this was an older thread.

I have contacted the team to see what the issue was.

    Thanks for your help

Was it the sponge chucking one?
If so i suspect it was getting out of hand but that is just a guess.

If it's the sponge-throwing one, let me explain:

The thread got too long and out of control. The content was somewhat like this:

OP made a dramatic post. Suspense was created immediately by insinuation in the title of the thread that the object may have been harmful. The word "sponge" was avoided.

People read the thread. Expectant to see a horrific story of flying irons, paper-weights, cheese-knives and bricks, the readers were somewhat disappointed. They advised OP she has over-reacted. Many tears ensued.

Thread is derailed, useless and locked.
