Nationwide credit card renewals

My NW credit card has an expiry date of 12/10 and I need to put the details of the card on to a forward holiday booking in January, and quite correctly it won't accept my current card. How soon before expiry do NW issue a new card, and can it be hurried up. I have asked NW by way of a secure message, but they haven't replied.

New cards normally arrive 3-4 weeks before expiry of the current one.0

Seems silly, but a white lie here might have been your best bet, dog chewed card or you've lost it etc. That way a new card would have been issued with a new expiry date within a few weeks.
By being totally honest you might have loss that chance now.
Hopefully Nationwide might agree to cancel the current card and re-issue now anyway, but there is a good chance they won't.
Good luck, hope it works out in the end.0 -
Folowing my request to them, they are going to extend my expiry date.0
