in Credit cards
I live abroad most of the year, I do not have a home in the UK, I use my brothers address for my credit card. My brother is getting excited because I have a small balance (2,000) on my credit card and he has told me if I should die he/his home will be liable for the debt - is this true

No not true. Your estate will be liable for any debts, whatever isn't covered by that dies with you as long as it is in your sole name.0
