What are ageoff points?Has my card been hacked?

I have just checked my statement and I see I have a payment to something listed as AGEOFF POINTS. I have googled this and cannot find any real information. I checked last months statement and seen it is there. I do not have any direct debits set up to my credit card so im a bit suspisious now.

In case it matters the card is a gmcard. The sums are relatively small but i dont think its anything that i want to pay for.

ps how do i stop if I dont even know who it is or what it is im paying for?

Thanks in advance

  • This may be completly unrelated but a couple of years ago i bought flowers from Interflora online.

About a year later i say a DD to "name-like AGEOFF) for £6.99 a month. it took ayear because i was auto paying my CC statement, not now!

Anyway, it was an option from the interflora website where i "opted" for free delivery. it seems the free delivery was linked to an online service with a subscription of £6.99 a month.

I am pretty good at checking T&C and did not recall this at all.

Anyway, couple of calls, started with CC as they had to have some detail, they were paying them! i managed to stop the payment and claim it ALL back.

Get amongst it and i bet you can fix it.

Hope thats of some kind of help.
Marry a Foreigner, its so much cheaper!

AGEOFF POINTS on a GM Card are simply removal of your loyalty points

They are removed if not spent after a certain period of time

Although they look like a debit on your online statement eg AGEOFF POINTS 0.32DR you will see from adding up the transactions that the AGEOFF POINTS are not part of the balance ;)

The same is true of the Partnership card
