Barclaycard - Recalim PPI & Charges

Hi Everyone

I wrote to Barclaycard requesting a copy of my statements 6 yrs prior to my account being closed in 2008. I got a letter the other day with the statements but they have only given me 6 yrs from August this yr to 2004, am I entitled to write back saying that my original letter did request that they provided them for the 6 yrs prior to my account closing. That way I will be entitled to claim an additional 2 yrs charges and PPI.

Any thoughts on this are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps they don't hold any transaction records over 6 years old?
But worth asking to double check.

  • The statute of limitations is 6 years from now not when you originally closed the account 2 years ago.
They do not have to deal with anything beyond the 6 year period.
