philips bailiffs 1 payment missed theyve added 250 quid

hi agreed to pay a speeding fine of 150 to philips

now Ive paid the whole thing 5 monthly payments of 30 pounds

but cant find the one receipt and they reckon there missing the one payment so they know Ive paid a least 120

however within 3 weeks theyve sent someone round the house and added 250 quid to the bill

they have not wrote to me but reckon they have

Ive phoned them but you dont get anywhere they now want the new amount

can anyone advise me on what to do, Im happy to make another payment of the 30 if theres been an oversight but they should have wrote to me explianing there was a payment missing seing as they new Id paid the rest they never even sent me a statement saying Id paid X
