Lloyds TSB - Dont give up.

:money:Though someone might be interested in this.
A couple of years ago i had an unfair charge taken from my account. £45 or so if i remember. Anyway, i made an appointment with the local branch manager who looked at it and did admit it was unfair but would not refund the money. At this i was none too pleased so after further discussion he eventually agreed to meet me half way and refund half!
NO WAY i said. I require a full refund as you have admitted it was wrong.
He then aggreed to refund all of it if i moved my main banking to Lloyds TSB.
Again, NO WAY, i said. I am more than happy with the bank i am with.
So i eventually left the meeting with no refund and a raging temper.
1 year later or so i returned to get a remortgage quote and mentioned the unfair charge again to a woman on the desk who promply replied ' IF IT WAS'NT FOR THAT MONEY SAVING MARTIN LEWIS, WE WOULD'NT HAVE SO PEOPLE CLAIMING AGAINST US!!!
To end the story, when i spoke to the chap that deals with the mortgages, he coulndt have been nicer and when i explained the whole story to him once again, He looked into it and refunded me immedietly.
NEVER give in and the quote about Martin Lewis, well, it speaks for itself.

Just bear in mind that it's not necessarily a good thing for EVERYONE to claim just because they incurred a few charges that they think are unfair. The banks are suffering and that's bad for the customer.Getting married 02.08.14
