British Airways sale, all cabins, worldwide routes

British Airways will be starting a worldwide sale in all cabins tomorrow at 8am. However, the sale fare have already been loaded into the system and are currently available to book online.

Recommendations (as always) are to buy World Traveller Plus (economy plus) tickets and upgrade to Club World (business class) using miles, making a significant saving.

For example; Washington DC has WTP fares for £640, upgradable to business for 25k miles. Outstanding value.

seat selection is free at T-24 - why would you want to pay anything for seat selection?

malkie76, you are so bad for my bank balance! To book Chicago or not, and do I nip somewhere else on my way home? :o
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Wow, thanks OP. It's just a dream at the moment, but I have been pricing up some flights to Sydney, Australia for next January. I have to say, I'm not a fan of BA as I worry about potential strikes happening or my luggage getting lost. However, by booking codeshare flights with Qantas via the BA website, I make just over a £400 saving for Premier Economy seats than if I book with Qantas direct!
  • Prices look good and almost on a par to what you get if a BA employee books for you and gets a discount.

    Sorry :p

I'm in the same quandry. Can't argue at £640 business class returns to the US - the problem would be the money I'd spend while there!!

Just doing some searching for a multicity routing UK -> NYC / SFO -> UK, and American Airlines (who codeshare with BA) are undercutting some sale fares by £30 or £40 on certain BA fares early next year, including those in the BA sale. If you're heading to the States, check your dates on aa.com as well as ba.com (although in our case flying out of the regions, KLM are still much cheaper via AMS).
