Refund to cancelled credit card??

Hi All,
Last Friday i had to cancel my Barclaycard due to fraudulent activity on my account.:mad:
I now have my new card and all the dispute forms have been signed and sent back to them.
My question is this. Whilst all this was going on i had returned an item that i purchased back in April to a company because it was faulty.
Today i received an email to say that they had refunded my card as the item was no longer in stock.
I telephoned the company in question and they said that the refund had gone through and should show on my account within 72 hours.
Is this possible? can a refund go to a cancelled card?
Anyone had this before??

Yes it will go onto the cancelled card, and the card company will then move it to your new account automatically.0
