Merit force

for the last year or so my Husband has been recieving letters from a company called Aktiv Kapital with regards to an old debt from Barclays Bank (from before we met - 15+ years ago). We ignored the letters as we assumed it was Statute Barred and had been advised to make no contact at all.
various letters arrived swinging between offering installments, vastly reduced rates, and big red letter written ones. we still ignored them.
this morning after a period of silence from them He has received a letter from Meritforce informing him of an authorised collector visit. now I am quite frankly *&55ing myself! the letter advises him to phone mackenzie hall before the 20th - what can we do please?

Hi - hopefully someone on here can point you in the direction of one of the letters you need to send - basically saying that you do not owe them any money and to go away :)

Edit: found the letter - if you are sure the debt is statute barred then send them this letter:
