Hi
I'm a British citizen and I've been working in Auz for the past 6 months. I have about $3000 in my Auz bank account which I'm going to withdraw and take home with me in cash.
Shall I exchange my dollars into british pounds before I leave Australia or do it when I get home in England? Does anyone know which will cost me less in fees?
Thanks

You'd be better off making a bank transfer - at least check out the costs for one. Cash is nearly always the most expensive way of transferring money. You'll lose between 5 and 10% in the process unless you do a lot of shopping around.0

I agree with above - if you must change to cash, I suggest doing it in Oz, will probably be the best, as each country tends to overvalue it's own currency slightly. National Pride? Dunno.
