Possible BAA Strike

I'm probably jumping the gun a bit here but if strike action does go ahead does anyone know the dates of the proposed strikes?

Judging by the BBC News, I'm guessing it will initially be in August, with the potential for further strikes in September.

I'm due to fly from Glasgow on the 11th September so I won't be a happy bunny if they go on strike. Unions are a pain in the a**e

Of course its going to be in August, the primary aim of a strike is disruption and maximum inconvenience and bad press for the airline concerned.

Ergo, if you are going to have a strike do it during the school holidays when families are travelling. Next year they will choose someone else.

Last I heard, the ballot result is today. Then they have to give a weeks notice of a strike. So in theory they could give notice today or tomorrow and be on strike next Thursday/Friday.

Speculation is they may wait until the bank holiday weekend for maximum disruption, but then they've also said they will move "swiftly" to strike action if the result is yes.

What would the situation be regarding refunds if there was strike action on the same day your flight was scheduled for?

I mean has this happened to anyone before and did they get a refund or has anyone any idea of what would happen?
