MORE SERENITY PACK SCAM from Europcar

Airport in Toulouse agents also perpetrate the same scam.
Their trick is different:
they asked me to affix my signature underneath the list of the pre-existing damage to the vehicle (to "protect me").
on the same piece of paper, in a different column, away from my signature, there was a list of possible additional fees: "serenity pack", "damage", "empty fuel tank"...etc.

Upon return of the car, the agent requested 340 euro for the serenity pack (for which I never asked, or SIGNED).
I refused, they said they would charge my credit card anyway.
When I protested, they actually LAUGHED IN MY FACE and asked me to speak to their head office in french (since they saw I don't speak French).

I ended up DISPUTING THE CHARGE with Visa. After several months of letters back and fro, aided by links to THIS SITE, Visa has refunded me my money.
Ever since I have been getting collection letters from Europcar demanding the payment, threatening me with prosecution, blacklisting me in their records...

I wrote a complaint letter to them today, but at least they do not have to refund me anything, so worst case scenario, I will be renting from National!!!

EUROPCAR, what a horrible company.
