Hi all,
Dont know what i have done, was on my laptop, put it away for dinner, then came back and the mouse pad is no longer working! It has not been dropped or stood on.
I have a button to disable it, but that is set to on, its not listed in the hardware mouse section, i have tried re installing the drivers but that has not helped the laptop to pick it up either.
Is there anything else i can do other then sending it away?
the model is samsung R530.
Thankyou

The fact that it's not shown separately as a device is not that unusual - many laptops have hardware which makes the touchpad simply look like a generic mouse.
It sounds like a hardware problem, but one other thing that might be worth doing is checking in the BIOS setup utility, as it's often possible to disable and enable the mousepad there. It's really a bit of an outside chance, as it's hard to see how the BIOS settings could have changed without human intervention...0
