NS&I Mini ISA Quick Question

Hi peeps,
I recently applied for the NS&I bad boy mini ISA, about a week and a half ago, and am still waiting on a confirmation etc.
My question is, I have since had an Alliance and Leicester current account (6.1% jobby) opened, and if this ISA is gonna take a while, I'd like to move my £2/3k over to there, but I put my old Abbey details on the ISA. Will it suddenly all go through and try taking the funds out of the Abbey account without any warning, as then I'll be in the s#@t if I've moved everything over, but on the other hand, if it gives me warning I'd rather be earning the 6.1% than 1.4% personally!
Any ideas?
Cheers in advance..

Did you apply by phone or on the Internet?0

Then you should have received acknowledgement by now. Have you tried to log in to your account? If not, ring them on the freefone number. I had my acknowledgement within a week and I applied online too.0

I just went to the website and filled in the information requested such as bank details, deposit amount, and it said you will hear in the future, and that was the only thing I heard, I never set up a username/pw from what I remember?0 -
I got this email from them a week ago:
What happens next
We will send you a confirmation form for you to sign and return. We may also ask for further proof of your identity and address. Before we can process your application, we need to receive your signed form (and any proof of identity and address requested) within 14 days of the date you applied. So please make sure you reply in good time.
When you can log in
Once we have accepted your application and sent you your welcome pack, your account will be activated and you can log in. You won't be able to log in before then but, subject to your application being accepted, your money will start earning interest from the day you applied0 -
If you don't receive it by Monday, ring them.0

I also applied for both a direct isa and (a few!) premium bonds last week...Got the premium bond forms thru quickly but still not the isa forms...got an email yesterday to remind me to return them0
-
Ah, I thought you were talking about the Direct ISA. Don't know how the other one works!0
-
I am talking about the direct isa - but it would appear my account has been debited the money I initially said I wanted to deposit into the isa, so one can but wait for the forms I guess!0
-
It took about 14 days for my confirmation of my direct ISA to get to me from filling out the forms on the internet and depositing my money with them. It is very slow and they send all mail 2nd class, however you will (assuming you are accepted) gain interest on your money the day you applied for the account. So I wouldn't worry about it, they are just a bit slow with the paperwork.0
