Wiping personal info from a Blackberry

Hi
I have a curve 8520 that Ihave sold on ebay. If I delete contacts and photos, do I simply need to remove the sim to stop the emails from coming to it?

Basically, I do not know when I set up the Blackberry internet service and getting the emails onto it if that was done via the phone itself or just the sim card?

AFAIR your BIS account is connected to the phone, not the SIM. You'll need to assign another Blackberry to this account or ask your network provider to delete the account altogether.
