My norton 360 anti virus runs out soon, and i don't really want to pay for a new one for the time being so i was wondering which is best to download?

If you want something that will run in the background with minimum fuss then Microsoft Security Essentials is probably the best choice. Personally, I'd recommend Avira or Comodo if you want something that gives you more choices in its configuration. Others like Avast. All of them are good.0

I use AVG anti-virus, combined with Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware. Both free and both seem to do the job.0

This year av-comparatives.orgtested 20 A/V programmes and in their pro-active detection performance tests MSE (free) was in joint 4th place with Kaspersky with Avira 5th (free) and whilst AVG (free) was a lowly 14th, it was still better than some paid-for programmes.
Anyone who thinks that paying more means getting more has never shopped at PC World.0 -
Had AVG and now have Avast, much prefer Avast:T0
